Medieval or Old Town
In the Medieval or Old Town one can enjoy many, such as the Palace of the Grand Master, the Jai of Suleiman, the Knights Street with the Majestic Gates and many more.
Archaeological Museum of Rhodes
It is located in the Medieval City and is housed in a two-storey medieval building of 1489 that was used as a hospital for the Knights. In the inner courtyard, the sculpture of a lion devouring its prey is impressive. On the first floor you will find tombstones, engraved crests and fragments of statues. Downstairs visitors will see amazing sculptures, of which Aphrodite of Rhodes and the Marble Head of the Sun stand out.

Lindos
Lindos was among the three ancient cities of Rhodes. It is worth seeing the Acropolis of Lindos, the Temple of Athena Lindia at the southern end of the Acropolis, the Propylaea and the necropolis on the hill in front of the Acropolis.
The Valley of the Butterflies
It is the most popular natural attraction of Rhodes. The valley is located in a wonderful environment with rich vegetation, waterfalls and springs, while the area is landscaped with wooden bridges, benches and ponds. Every year, from June to September, the butterflies gather here to mate, creating a colorful and spectacular view.

Seven Springs
This enchanting location is not yet widely known. The landscape is beautiful with many springs, trees, waterfalls and a lake with ducks, while there is also a tavern, where you can eat delicious traditional food.

Aquarium
The aquarium is located at the northern end of Rhodes and is one of the best of its kind in Greece. It gives the opportunity to young and old to get to know the world of the sea by admiring fish, shellfish, turtles, seals, crabs, sea urchins, mollusks and many more, some of which are endangered. It also functions as a research center.

Medical Baths of Kallithea
It is one of the most famous sights of Rhodes, attracting tens of thousands of visitors every year. It is a historic monument with impressive architecture, where you can see the room of the Rotunda that once gushing its healing waters, but also many others, such as the beautiful mosaics. The baths are located by the sea, 9 km. south of the city of Rhodes, just before Faliraki.

Monastery of Panagia Tsampika
Near Archangelos is the Monastery of Panagia Tsampikas. It consists of the old and the new church, which are called by the locals “the High” and the “Low”, respectively.
The old church is located at the top of a hill (326 meters), above the homonymous beach, while the new one is located lower, near the national road that connects Archangelos with the city of Rhodes. The “High” church celebrates on September 8 every year, at the Genesis of the Virgin, while the “High” celebrates the Third Sunday of Lent.
Archangelos
Archangelos is a town located on the island of Rhodes. It is built on the central east coast of the island, at an altitude of 160 m. The highest mountain of the area is Helandros (507 m.), where the chapel of the Prophet Elias is located.
The inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture and stockraising as well as in pottery. In modern times they are also engaged in the processing of agricultural products. In Archangelos there are 2 kindergartens, 2 primary schools, while there is a day and night high school as well as a vocational high school (EPAL). In 1971 it had 3,056 inhabitants, in 1981 it reached 4,164 inhabitants while in the last census of 2011 it reached 7,047.
Knight castle
East of the settlement, on a hill 216 meters high near the sea, Archangelos castle is built. Its construction dates back to the time when Jacques de Milly (1454-1461) was the Grand Master. The area of the castle is 3,000 square meters and its walls have a length of 240 meters.
About 20 years ago the walls had started to fall down, but at the initiative of the then Municipality of Archangelos, their reconstruction began and as a result today it is open to the public. The state of preservation is characterized as good.
Archangelos Horses
An association for the protection of Phaeton dwarf horses has been created in Archangelos, which aims at the protection, preservation and increase of the population of the last remaining 8 ancient horses, an ancient race unique in the world.
